Steven Schloeder is a registered architect in Arizona, California, and Pennsylvania. He holds a Ph.D in theology, and both a Bachelor and Master in Architecture. His architecture firm Liturgical Environs serves Catholic church projects for both new build and remodel projects, as well as liturgical design, across the United States. His book Architecture in Communion (Ignatius Press, 1998) is a highly regarded resource on the theology of sacred architecture. Dr. Schloeder has also written booklets for Catholic Truth Society with Catholic Architecture (2013) and Understanding a Church (2014), as well as articles and essays in Sacred Architecture, Adoremus Bulletin, Faith & Form, Ministry and Liturgy, University Bookman, Crisis, Intercollegiate Review, and Catholic World Report.
